Katrina

I usually don't post about current events or my political views but this time I'll make an exception:

The more I seem to learn about this disaster, the more disallusioned I get about the state that America is in. What happened?

Hi Vickie --

This is quite an intense piece of video and sums it up well.

As former Massachusetts Governor and Presidential candidate Michael Dukakis once said, quoting a Greek proverb, "A fish rots from the head."

We Americans are now living with the leadership we elected last November.

PS: Great pics from Madagascar, and great summaries of the regions.

@#$*^&!* %*#(!)( #%^*!#$@#% *insert skulls here* #*$($@ to the government... That's all I've had to say for the past 5 years now...
"Disallusioned" is no longer a part of my politics related vocabulary, I think I'd rather go with perpetual depression/disappointment/anger. Be we all know my views on such things so need to be more aggressive than I have to towards (sadly) my govt... *takes a deep breath*

(oh yes, and also p.s. like I said about the pictures of the kids from Mada, those landscape pictures are really breathtaking!! You should be a photographer...)

No, the landscapes (and children) are so beautiful that even a clutz like me can take passable pictures. There's a very famous photographer in Mada called Pierrot Men (he's lived there all of his life)-- look up HIS pictures, they're breathtaking.
